What time should I get to the railway station?
For train electronic tickets
If you get e-ticket ticket confirmation, please arrive at the station 50 minutes prior to the departure.
For trains to or from Hong Kong
If the train you book is from or to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station, your need to collect your train tickets at railway station, so please arrive at the station 70 - 60 minutes prior to the departure.
For trains without e-ticket
If your book a train without e-ticket, your need to collect your train tickets at railway station, so please arrive at the station 70 - 60 minutes prior to the departure.
How to check in high-speed train at railway station?
Check-in Process of E-tickets
Step 1: Arrive at railway station 50 minutes prior to the departure
Step 2: Show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to get through the security check and the real-name ID check, then enter the departure hall
Step 3: Find boarding Gate, and wait for Ticket Check and Boarding.
Step 4: The boarding gates will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff. They will scan your passport on machine to check your e-ticket.
Step 5: Find the the platform of your train, and the carriage of your ticket, then board the train
Step 6: Find your seat number on train.
Check-in Process of printed tickets for to or from Hong Kong train, or the train without e-ticket
Step 1: Arrive at railway station 60 minutes prior to the departure
Step 2: Collect your train ticket at ticket office.
Step 3: Show your passport and ticket to station staff to get through the security check and the real-name ID check, then enter the departure hall
Step 4: Find boarding Gate, and wait for Ticket Check and Boarding.
Step 5: The boarding gates will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Please show your passport and ticket to station staff to check in.
Step 6: Find the the platform of your train, and the carriage of your ticket, then board the train
Step 7: Find your seat number on train.
Business Class Lounge (VIP lounge)
The passengers who bought the business class ticket can access to Business Class Lounge (VIP lounge) with free of charges.
There are soft sofa or armchair, quiet space, drinks, TV and free WIFI. Usually, the business class passenger get priority boarding by special pass
Luggage Allowance
There is no checked luggage service for China bullet train. It means train passengers need to take their luggage to board the train.
Each passenger is allowed to carry 1 - 3 luggage/baggages.
The luggage allowance is 20KG. But usually, it will be OK if your luggage is not exceed 30KG
Each luggage's maximum dimension should not exceed 80*50*40cm.
Check-in Tips
1, There are no trolleys in station, you need to carry your own luggage.
2, Don't wait for an announcement for boarding the train. When you see your fellow Chinese passengers start to lineup, get on the line early.
3, In most railway stations, the display boards flash between English and Mandarin. They are easy to understand. And usually the announcements are in both languages.
4, But there are few Chinese people can speak English. Language may be a problem. If you have any question, please consult the crew at Inquiry
