Opened on Jan 8 2014, Dongguan Railway Station (Chinese name 东莞站, Dongguan Zhan) is located in Xihu District, Shilong Town, 17km northeast of Dongguang downtown.It covers 34,000 square metres, and has 3 platforms, 8 railway tracks. Dongguan Railway Station is one high-speed rail station on Guangzhou–Shenzhen intercity rail and Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway, mainly serving 62 high-speed trains per day.

Dongguan Railway Station is located in Shilong town, 18km northeast of Dongguan downtown.

Humen Railway Station Station is located in Humen town, 25km southwest of Dongguan downtown.

Changping Railway Station is located in Changping town, 36km southeast of Dongguan downtown.

Dongguan East Railway Station is located in Changping town, 40km southeast of Dongguan downtown.

Metro line 2 is the mostly recommended public way to or leave Dongguan Railway Station that links the station with others town in Dongguan, Dongguan downtown and Humen Railway Station.

The first metro train is at 06:00 and the last is at 22:30. The one way ticket is RMB2 - RMB8.

Taxi is one convenient and fast, but also the most expensive way to get to or leave Dongguan Railway Station.

There are 29 bus routes to or pass Dongguan Railway Station. The bus stations are on station square (North: Shilong Square, South: Chashan Square)

Departures

Step 1: Get to Dongguan Railway Station by metro line 2, Taxi, bus or Car.

Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.

Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.

Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.

Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect train tickets?

Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Dongguan Railway Station.

It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals

Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or printed ticket) to station staff to check out.
