Opened on Dec 12 2019, Zhangjiakou Railway Station (Chinese name 张家口站, Zhangjiakou Zhan) is located in Qiaodong District, 2km south of Zhangjiakou downtown. It covers 46,500 square metres, and has 6 platforms, 16 railway tracks. Zhangjiakou Railway Station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series) that handles 96 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway, Datong-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway and Beijing-Baotou High-Speed Railway.

Departures
Step 1: Arrive at Zhangjiakou Railway Station by taxi, car or bus 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Get through the real-name ID check. Please show your passport to station staff at entrance of station. The staff will scan your passport to check your identity document and your booking.
Step 3: Get through security check and find the boarding gate (Ticket Check). The live information of gate is on the overhead screens in departure hall, and the boarding gate No. of your train will be in our confirmation email we send you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The ticket check gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport to station staff to check in . The gate will be closed 5 minutes before train departure

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Zhangjiakou Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals
Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits.
Step 2: Please show your passport and confirmation No.(or paper ticket) to station staff to check out.
