Jinan Railway Station Guides

Opened in July 1904, rebuilt in 1995 and expanded in 2013, Jinan Railway Station (Chinese name 济南站, Jinan Zhan) is located in Tianqiao District, 2km northwest of downtown of Jinan. The station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series). It covers 120,000 square metre, and has 7 platforms and 10 railway tracks. Jinan Railway Station serves Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Qingdao-Jinan Passenger Railway, and intercity High Speed railway to destinations in Shandong Province, as Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Rongcheng and Longkou.

Jinan Railway Station has 3 floors, including station terminal, north square. Departures are on 1F and 2F, arrivals are on B1 floor, tickets offices are on 1F and the platforms are on 1F.

Jinan West Railway Station(Chinese name: 济南西站, Jinan Xi) is located in Kuiying District, 15km west of Jinan urban center.

Jinan East Railway Station(Chinese name: 济南东站, Jinan East) is located in Licheng District, 25km northeast of Jinan urban center.

Jinan Railway Station(Chinese name: 济南站, Jinan Zhan) and Daminghu Railway Stati(Chinese name: 大明湖站)are near the downtown of Jinan.

There are 20 city buses, including Bus No.1, Bus No.2, Bus No.2, Bus No.3, Bus No.4, and Airport bus to Jinan Airport(TNA)

Departures

Step 1:Get to Jinan Railway Station by Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.

Step 2: At entrance, go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport. But if passengers arrive at station by metro, they don't need to go through security check again in or out station at entrance / exit of metro.

Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.

Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.

Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. If you train is to Hong Kong, please show your passport and ticket to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect train tickets?

Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most train routes from or to Jinan Railway Station.

It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals

Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or printed ticket) to station staff to check out.

Step 2: Leave Jinan Railway Station by bus, taxi or car.
