Opened in 1960, rebuilt in 2005, Sanya Railway Station (Chinese name 三亚站, Sanya Zhan) is located at Qingxiu Road, 7km northwest of the downtown of Sanya. It covers 16,200 square metres, and has 4 platforms, 8 railway tracks. Sanya Railway Station is the station of the Hainan Ring High-Speed Railway in Hainan Island, that combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(D/C series) that serves 62 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day.

How many railway stations in Sanya?
There are two railway stations in Sanya: Sanya Railway Station, and Sanya Yalong Bay Railway Station.
Sanya Railway Station is located at Yuxiu road, 7km northwest of the downtown of Sanya.
Yalong Bay Railway Station is located in Jiyang district, 20km northeast of the downtown of Sanya.

Departures
Step 1: Get to the entrance of Sanya Railway Station by Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect train tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on all high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Sanya Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals
Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or printed ticket) to station staff to check out.
Step 2: Leave Sanya Railway Station by bus, taxi or car.
