Opened on Dec 20 2014, Leshan Railway Station (Chinese name 乐山站, Leshan Zhan) is located in Shizhong District, 9km northwest of Leshan downtown, 10.5km northwest of Leshan Giant Buddha, 135km southwest of Chengdu. Leshan Railway Station is one high-speed rail station that covers 12,000 square metres, and has 5 island platforms, 13 railway tracks. The station handles around 48 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan High-Speed Railway and Chengdu-Guiyang high speed railway.

Departures
Step 1: Arrive at Leshan Railway Station by taxi, car or bus 40 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Get through the real-name ID check. Please show your passport to station staff at entrance of station. The staff will scan your passport to check your identity document and your booking.
Step 3: Get through security check and find the boarding gate (Ticket Check). The live information of gate is on the overhead screens in departure hall, and the boarding gate No. of your train will be in our confirmation email we send you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The ticket check gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport to station staff to check in. The gate will be closed 5 minutes before train departure

Do you need to collect train tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Leshan Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.
