Opened on Aug 18 2017, Foshan West Railway Station (Chinese name 佛山西站, Foshan Xi Zhan) is located in Nanhai District, 15km northwest of Foshan downtown. It covers 68,000 square metres, and has 10 platforms, 23 railway tracks. Foshan West Railway Station is one new high-speed rail station that serves as a gateway for conventional, regional and high-speed rail services for southwest Guangdong. There are 121 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Nanning–Guangzhou, Guiyang–Guangzhou high speed railways and Guangzhou–Foshan–Zhaoqing intercity railway.

There are two railway stations in Foshan, Foshan Railway Station, Foshan West Railway Station.
Foshan Railway Station is located in Chan'Cheng, downtown of Foshan that is being expanded as one high-speed train station.
Foshan West Railway Station is located in Shishan Town, Nanhai District, 15km northwest of Foshan downtown.

Bus
There are 24 bus routes to or pass Foshan West Railway Station, including bus G1, bus G5, bus G12 etc. The bus stations are on station square on 1F. Passengers can take bus G5 or bus 205 to downtown. The bus ticket price is RMB 2 - RMB4 and the duration is 1 hour.
Departures
Step 1: Get to Foshan West Railway Station by Taxi, bus or Car.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Foshan West Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or paper ticket) to station staff to check out.
