Sanya Phoenix International Airport (IATA: SYX, Chinese Name: 三亚凤凰国际机场) is located 15km northwest of Sanya downtown. It was officially put into service on July 1, 1994. The second extension project was done in 2006 and the third extension project was done in Aug 2018.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport has two terminals, T1 (Domestic) and T2 (International), covering 105,000 square meters.
